The One Who Nose

rest your gaze gently ahead

and notice your noses

there are two – you can see them!

and,

you know there is only one.

and who is this observer of this nose,

the one who sees,

the one who knows?

you inhale and for a moment,

you simply hold the tender mystery.

you close your eyes at night

and see more clearly.

when you come back to stillness

and again notice your two noses

remember the illusions

you carry with you everywhere

they are waiting for your presence,

waiting to play,

to be seen and

to be seen through,

guiding you back

to yourself.
